Tickets for the 2013 Edmonton Folk Music Festival will go on sale Saturday June the 1st.

**New this year: Seniors tickets will no longer be free. Day tickets will be $20 for seniors 65 to 79, with our “Super Seniors” 80 yrs and over still free.
Seniors who buy all four days can still exchange all four tickets for a weekend wristband at the gate if desired.

ADULT (18-64 years)

Personal Pass             $159 (1 ticket for all 4 days)

4-Day Transferable   $189 (4 separate tickets that can be shared)

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.

“Super-Seniors” (80 and over)          FREE

  • Seniors may be asked for proof of age, and will join the regular admission line.
  • Children (under 12 ) and Super-Seniors (80+) are admitted at the gate regardless of sell out.

 

HOW & WHERE TO BUY TICKETS

1. In person at Telus Field (10233 96 Avenue NW).   SATURDAY JUNE 1st,  2013

  • In-person sales at the Telus Field – Festival Ticket Office will incorporate a lottery line-up for getting tickets.
  • Doors open by 7:00 a.m. and lottery cut off by 8:00 a.m.
  • You will not be able to hold spaces in the line for people coming later.
  • The Festival Ticket office accepts Visa, Mastercard, Debit and Cash.  (Cheque Payments are also accepted, but these orders will be held until the payment clears)
  • Successful lottery entrants will be able to purchase 4-day and senior tickets, but because of the limited number of day tickets, the festival will not be able to guarantee that all single day tickets will be available for purchase.
  • Approximately 50% of Ticket Stock will be available to In-person patrons.  The remaining 50% will be sold through On-Line and Ticketmaster.

2. Online through the Edmonton Folk Music Festival website

at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1st at www.edmontonfolkfest.org.

  • Setting up an account in advance of on-line sales is strongly recommended – (Click to create an account)
  • Setting up an account will speed up the ordering process, but does not guarantee you a ticket.  Your personal information and email address are secure and are not used for any other purpose.
  • A service fee of 4% will be applied for all successful orders made through the Festival website, at time of purchase.

3. Ticketmaster: Online, charge-by-phone, and Kiosks

at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1st at www.ticketmaster.ca or:

  • If you are planning on purchasing at a Ticketmaster Kiosk, we recommend contacting Ticketmaster first to confirm location and hours of operation.

Please Note: The total number of tickets available for on line and Ticketmaster sales vs. morning lottery line up will remain the same as in years past. Half available in person, half to other sources (EFMF online, and Ticketmaster)

Sales limits: (Updated as of May 15th 2013)

In person at Telus Field – Sales limits per order: Maximum of 6 Adult festival passes (Personal passes and/or Transferable) and 4 Single day tickets of each day (Adult and/or Senior). Youth tickets are unlimited.

Online via the Folk Festival – Sales limits per order: Maximum of 4 Adult festival passes (Personal passes and/or Transferable) and 4 Single day tickets of each day (Adult and/or Senior). Youth tickets are unlimited.

Through Ticketmaster (phone/kiosk/online) – Sales limits per order:  Maximum 4 Adult festival passes (Personal passes and/or Transferable) and 4 Single day tickets of each (Adult and/or Senior)Youth tickets are unlimited.  (1-855-985-5000/www.ticketmaster.ca)


ALL SALES ARE FINAL.  NO REFUNDS/REPLACEMENTS OR EXCHANGES

TICKET PICK UP:

Tickets purchased on line (via edmontonfolkfest.org ) will be available for pick up from our office after July 3rd.  Tickets can also be held at the Folk Festival Main Gate for no charge.  If you require mailing, a mail fee can be added at time of purchase for an additional charge.  Tickets will not be mailed until July, so we will not mail tickets out of country and will instead hold those for collection at the gate.

Total Tickets Available:

11,000 4-day passes (these include both Adult and Youth passes).

1,000 Day tickets (for seniors)

1,000 single day tickets for each day (these include both Adult and Youth passes).

Up to half of the 4-day passes will be allotted for in-person sales at the Folk Festival Office.  The remaining 4-day passes will be allotted for online via the Folk Festival website  and Ticketmaster. 

 

TO COLLECT YOUR TICKETS

If you purchased your tickets through Ticketmaster, you must contact a Ticketmaster outlet to arrange for collection. After Wednesday August 8th at Noon  Ticketmaster tickets will only be available at the On-Site Box Office  (North Gate) during the hours posted for the On-Site Box Office.

Tickets purchased online via edmontonfolkfest.org are processed in June and are generally ready for collection in July.  Instructions for collection at our Festival Box Office as well as hours of operation will be forwarded to you via email (to the address provided when you made your purchase). To collect your passes from the Folk Festival Box Office, you will require photo ID as well as the confirmation number provided at time of purchase. The Folk Fest Box Office is located at 10115-97 A Ave.  ( River Valley -Rossdale Flats on the North West End of the James MacDonald Bridge)  

If you are unable to collect your tickets before the festival, all tickets (including ticketmaster purchases) will be transferred to the On-site Box Office at the North Gate on the first day of the event.  If you are picking up tickets at the gate, please allow for extra time as there may be a lineup.  Photo ID will be required to obtain the pass so if you wish to have someone else collect your tickets at the either the Main -or the On-site Box Office, you will need to call the box office in advance to make arrangements.

Please check the box office hours below to ensure that the appropriate box office is open when you come to collect your passes.

 

Main Folk Fest Box Office (10115-97 A Ave) For collection of tickets before the festival:

Monday through Friday from 9:30am – 5pm

(Main Box Office Closes the Wednesday before the festival at 7 pm)

*The box office will be open from 9:30am – 5pm on Monday, August 5th

Late Night ticket pickup August 1, 2, 6 & 7  – 9:30am – 7pm

On-site Box Office* (North Gate only) For collection of tickets during the festival:

Thursday:  Noon – 10:30pm
Friday:       Noon – 11:30pm
Saturday:   9:00 am  – 11:30pm
Sunday:     9:00 am – 9:30pm

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  If there are any issues with your purchase, we will be using your email address to contact you, so it is important that you read the messages that we may send you periodically through the summer.  Your order may be cancelled if there is an issue with payment and we are unable to contact you before the festival.

How to Post Your Tickets on the EFMF Swapboard

  1. Click the red ‘New Topic’ button (in the top left corner). You will need to log into Google to create a post.
  2. Create your post. Make sure to include:
    1. Your name
    2. Email address
    3. The tickets you have for sale and the asking price. Tickets can ONLY be sold at FACE VALUE plus service charges, if purchased online or through Ticketmaster.
    4. A Folk Fest or Ticketmaster confirmation number. You must include a confirmation number or your order will not be posted.
    5. Click the red ‘Post’ button (in the top left corner).
    6. You’re done! Please note that we moderate all posts, so your post will not appear immediately on the swapboard.

 

When you have sold your tickets, please contact the Box Office at 780-429-1999 or tickets@efmf.ab.ca to have your posting taken down.
