

Responsible for collecting sorting and maintaining the historical data for the Edmonton Folk Music Festival.
Responsible for providing overnight security for the Festival site.
Responsible for producing the weekend program book. Specific skills such as writing articles, typesetting, layout and design work are required.
Responsible for preparation and placement of all Festival signs, banners, etc.
Responsible for set-up, maintenance and teardown of the Festival site. All members of the Site crew must be over 18 years of age. A 48-hour commitment is required
Responsible for greeting, providing assistance and providing information to patrons with disabilities who may require special services at the Festival weekend.
This crew is responsible for accounting procedures and fiscal control during the Festival weekend.
Responsible for meeting performers at both the Municipal and International airport. Specific duties include greeting the performers, assisting them through customs if necessary, helping them with any luggage and/or instruments and driving them to the Festival hotel. Crewmembers must have a valid drivers license and be at least 21 years of age.
Responsible for stocking and maintaining the Beer Garden on the Festival site. Specific duties include delivery of beer to site, selling of beverage tickets, pouring of beverages, serving and clearing tables. In addition, this crew stocks and maintains beer supplies for Festival parties. All members of this crew must be of legal age.
Responsible for tagging bicycles and maintaining security at this lock-up facility. Volunteers and patrons who bicycle to the Festival site utilize this area.
Responsible for pre festival and on-site Festival ticket sales.
Responsible for acting as a liaison between the Festival and the concessionaires, acting upon any concerns or questions that they might have and ensuring that they adhere to the Posted Regulations regarding Health and Safety, power consumption, opening and closing times, etc.
Responsible for reviewing and jerrying Craft Applications and acting as a liaison between the Festival and Craft Vendors.
Responsible for making sure the site and the neighbourhood are clean in the morning. This crew consists of children between the age of 12 and 15. They work mornings only and are supervised by adult shift leaders.
Responsible for the organization and supervision of activities within the Family Area.
Responsible for providing food services for all performers and volunteers during the Festival weekend. If is divided into seven sub crews.
Responsible for providing First Aid for all people at the Festival site throughout the weekend. The crew consists of MDs, RNs and LPNs.
Responsible for all patron traffic coming onto the site during the Festival weekend. Specific duties include taking tickets, stamping hands and checking badges at entry points to the Festival site.
Responsible for providing hospitality to performers at the hotel, issuing badges, schedules, program books and Festival kits after hotel check-in. This crew also acts as an information source for performers and Festival guests in the hotel. Volunteers must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Responsible for providing information for Festival patrons. selling program books, handling lost children and managing the lost & found.
Responsible for tagging and storing performer’s instruments on site and maintaining security in the lock-up area.
Responsible for setting up interviews between the Performers, Artistic Director, etc. and the media (print, radio and television).
Responsible for handling of Performer and Folk Festival products during the Festival weekend. This crew maintains accurate records at all times, keeps track of performers consignments, manages inventory and controls the cash sales.
As part of the volunteer appreciation, parties are held throughout the Festival weekend. The Party crew is responsible for organizing and running these parties. Must be 18 years of age.
Responsible for providing hospitality to performers at the festival site and acts as resource and information center for performers and Festival guests. Volunteers must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Photographers are responsible for visually recording the weekend Festival on film.
Responsible for selling plates to the concessionaires, refunding deposits to patrons and transporting plates to be washed. Physical strength and/or a valid drivers license are assets to bring to this crew.
Responsible for selling program books at the gate. Volunteers should be energetic and comfortable approaching the public. & handling money. A good level of fitness is required.
Responsible for selling raffle tickets throughout the Festival weekend. Volunteers should be energetic and comfortable approaching the public. & handling money.
This crew moves equipment and instruments to stages and other materials on site as required. Volunteers must have a valid drivers license and be at least 21 years of age.
Responsible for providing security to all areas within the Festival site.
Responsible for providing a regular shuttle service for the performers and volunteers between the hotel and the Festival site. All crewmembers must have a valid drivers license and be at least 24 years of age.
ENVIRONMENT Responsible for keeping the Festival site clean during the festival weekend..
Responsible for setting up the sound equipment and instruments on each of the stages on the Festival site.
Responsible for controlling traffic into and around the Festival site.
Responsible for tagging and storing volunteers personal items on site and maintaining a level of security in the lock-up area, providing information to volunteers and managing messages for volunteer coordinators
