Norman Foote
Norman
Foote is short for Norman Mervyn Barrington-Foote, a name which (according to Foote) was his prime motivation for developing a sense of humor. Foote is playing this weekend as part of his North American "Tour de Foote"-self-styled musical-comedic combination for young and old. Biographical notes claim that the title song on his most recent album, Pictures on the Fridge, "puts the fun back into housework." His previous albums, Shake A Leg and If the Shoe Fits, received Parents' Choice Awards, and he's also been given the National Association of Parenting Publications of America Award, a Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Award, and two Juno nominations. Look for a variety of musical styles influenced by everyone from Hank and Elvis to Jimi Hendrix. There'll be something for everyone, as he promises an interactive performance that invites children and adults to sing along with him.
