The Dead Reckoners

Welcome back to The Dead Reckoners-you may have caught their main stage show on Saturday afternoon in '96. The group is an all-star cast from the Dead Reckoning label that includes Kevin Welch, Kieran Kane, Mike Henderson, Harry Stinson and Tammy Rogers, supported by Alison Prestwood. They've met with critical success since starting the label three years ago. Their indie tag comes from their Dead Reckoning label, which they put together to write and record their own material, mostly as songwriters for other artists. Based in Nashville, they're steeped in country, but their most recent album, A Night of Reckoning, also includes roots, rock and blues. So, while they've done well in the mainstream, having struck out on their own, their accomplishments indicate that they're not poling along on a raft-they're steaming right along.
