Moe Berg
After
five albums with The Pursuit of Happiness, why would Moe Berg put out a solo? After all, it was his band!
Actually, Moe, a native Edmontonian, fell into his solo endeavor because he found himself writing songs that were different from the distinct sound of TPOH. His solo album, called Summer's Over, is made up of a group of songs that are more stripped down-for the most part, just him and his guitar. These are songs formed after hours and hours in his favorite cafes in Toronto, so one can guess that this time we'll hear a more introspective, well-fed Moe.
It will be interesting to hear this different side of Moe Berg this weekend. You can bet the sound will be more intimate, proving that he's even more of "an adult now."
