Valdy

Valdy is nothing short of a Canadian institution. For those unenlightened folkies who don't know the name, Valdy's been writing and performing for almost 30 years. That means 13 albums, 22 singles, seven Juno nominations and two Juno awards. He's best known for his signature combination of folk, country, rock and blues, as well as for his distinctive lyrics that speak with sincerity of familiar things.

Valdy's live show contains a blend of expert showmanship and a respect for the audience common only to veteran performers. In fact, few performers are capable of creating the kind of magic he generates on stage. Even if you've seen and heard Valdy many times, it's guaranteed you'll catch something fresh and unique from his performance this weekend.
