Stewart MacDougall
A native of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Stewart MacDougall has called Edmonton home for 17 years. He's worked as a songwriter, keyboardist and vocalist with many well-known artists, such as k.d. lang and the reclines, Ian Tyson and the Chinook Arch Riders, and Laura Vinson's Red Wyng.
Most recently, MacDougall has been one half of the duo Great Western Orchestra. Along with David Wilkie, they've composed, arranged, performed and produced two CDs: Wind in the Wire and Buffalo Ground.
Through his alliances with many groups, MacDougall has made television appearances on Rita and Friends, Country Beat, Pure Gold, Sun Country and the Don Harron Show. Through the Great Western Orchestra, he has toured Canada, the U.S., Hong Kong, China and Indonesia, and he's had the opportunity to perform with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vancouver Symphony.
