Four Bitchin' Babes

Four Bitchin' Babes have made their presence felt in Edmonton in a variety of incarnations. The newest edition is comprised of Christine Lavin (Sensitive New Age Guys turns up regularly on CKUA's request programming), Sally Fingerett, Megon McDonough and newcomer Debi Smith.

Each of the women is a songwriter in her own right, and together they offer their respective takes on contemporary living. They're all within three years of one another in age (around 40), and except for Lavin, all raising children and trying to juggle a performing career with their domestic lives.

As they take turns performing their respective songs, their collective approach plumbs a number of genres, from folk to jazz to blues. Expect humor, sensitivity, satire, and perhaps some baton twirling.
